The Rumpl 2-person Down Puffy Blanket quickly became one of my favorite outdoor accessories. When I’m camping I get cold. It’s easy to bring this blanket along and use it any time a little additional warmth is needed.
The 600-fill duck down uses sustainably sourced insulation and is said to keep you warm and comfortable to temperatures around 40 degrees. I often used it more for additional warmth over my sleeping bag or paired with layers, and I found it provided just the right amount of warmth. The 20D Ripstop Nylon shell is treated with DWR to repel water and stains. It’s nice to know that whether you’re sipping coffee in it, sleeping exposed to the elements in a hammock, or sharing it with your furry four-legged friend, this blanket is up for the challenge. Best of all, if, and when, it does get a little dirty you can just throw it in your washing machine. That’s right, it’s machine washable—a must for outdoor down blankets, and not something you usually see with similar products on the market.
I love the wavy stitching patterns and the blue accent color. The two-person blanket packs into its stuff sack at about 8″x9″ and weighs in at 2.1 pounds. If you don’t plan to share, the one-person puffy would be plenty big enough and cut down on weight and size.
Sure, it’s a pricey accessory, but considering that you could use it on your bed at home, can skip purchasing a duvet to protect it, and then bring it along on your next adventure, it’s easy to get your money’s worth.
